Welcome! I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Government at Harvard University.

I study how value-based activists shape trade liberalization. My book project, Issue Linkage and the Logic of Hybrid Coalitions: Linking Trade and Environmental Protection, examines how environmental activists and environmental IOs make free trade politically feasible in the U.S. and the E.U. The project is funded by the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and the Center for European Studies.

I was a recipient of the Korea Foundation of Advanced Studies (KFAS) doctoral fellowship from 2013 to 2018, and a Raymond Vernon Fellow at Harvard from 2013 to 2015. I received my B.A. in French Language and Literature in 2009, and M.A. in Political Science in 2013 both from Korea University in Seoul, Korea.

My CV (last updated in August 2019) is available here.
